Monitoring 2026 results

Last updated 26.10.2026

In 2026, the last monitoring under the 2022 monitoring model was conducted. Most participating organisations improved their results from 2024. Eleven organisations achieved the highest possible result of 5 in all areas of openness (culture for open scholarship, publishing, data and education) and an openness level of 5.

Monitoring in 2026

The monitoring survey was open from 4 May to 15 June 2026. Only organisations with a degree of openness below 5 in one or more areas in 2024 were invited to respond. Organisations with a degree below 5 in only one area answered only the questions for that area. The other organisations answered all questions. When comparing monitoring results across years, it is important to bear in mind that the number of respondents has changed since previous surveys.
