Are you interested in citizen science? Have you been involved in a citizen science project, or been implementing one as a researcher? Does your organization support citizen science? Are you planning a citizen science project, or would you like to be involved in collecting data?

"Citizen science (CS; also known as community science, crowd science, crowd-sourced science, civic science, or volunteer monitoring) is scientific research conducted, in whole or in part, by amateur (or nonprofessional) scientists. Citizen science is sometimes described as "public participation in scientific research," participatory monitoring, and participatory action research whose outcomes are often advancements in scientific research by improving the scientific communities capacity, as well as increasing the public's understanding of science." This survey collects information on the current state of citizen science in Finland. The results of the survey will be used to develop a national policy on the culture of open science. The policy is being prepared during 2021. More information at www.avointiede.fi
