Do you or does your background organisation have an ongoing Open Science project or initiative? Come and present it at the Open Science and Research Summer Conference!
The 2025 Open Science and Research Summer Conference will be held on May 26–27 in Helsinki at the House of Science and Letters. Plenary program will also be streamed online.
The new Declaration for Open Science and Research that will be published on the 2025 Summer Conference begins by presenting a vision for responsible open science, where openness creates a foundation for equitable and accessible science and knowledge that promotes societal impact of research and sustainable development.
The program for the Summer Conference will be centered on the new declaration, impact and the visions for the future. Where does the new declaration take us? What role do impact of open science, responsible research assessment and the new vision for higher education and research play in the development?
Presentations about current open science topics or expert panel work
Like in previous conferences, participants have a chance to present short (max. 5 minutes) news about current projects or initiatives related to Open Science. All current Open Science topics are warmly welcomed. However, in particular, news related to this year's theme “Vision for Responsible Open Science", or to the work of the Open Science expert panels and working groups are appreciated.
Send the title of your presentation and a draft of your presentation slides to avointiede@tsv.fi by 18 April 2025.
The final selection of the Open Science news presentations is done by the organising group of the conference, this year consisting of members from the Open Science Secretariat. The applicants will be informed of the final decision by 2 May 2025.
Presentations will be held on site.
Registration for the summer conference begins on week 15.
