Welcome to this EOSC Finnish Forum hosted webinar to learn about the latest updates from the global research data community, the Research Data Alliance (RDA)!
In the webinar Ulriika Vihervalli, from CSC – IT Center for Science's International Collaboration unit, will present the topics of the upcoming RDA plenary in a public webinar on 3.10. at 10:00, and Joonas Kesäniemi from CSC will present on his FAIR mappings work, which is part of the plenary program. The RDA 25th plenary will be held in Brisbane, Australia, on October 13-16, as part of the International Data Week. The meeting will cover many issues relevant to the Finnish research community, such as the organisation of national research data services, platforms for handling sensitive data, and utilising AI in research data management.
The webinar is intended for both Finnish RDA members and anyone interested in research data management. If you're not already familiar with RDA, the webinar will provide an overview of the organisation and its activities, as well as tips on how to get involved.
The presentation section of the Webinar will be held in English and will be recorded. The discussion section can be held either in Finnish or English, depending on the participants' preferences. The discussion will not be recorded.
Founded in 2013, the RDA is a global membership organisation focused on research data related issues. It has over 15,000 individual members and 100 organisational members globally, with approximately 200 members from Finland. CSC is an organisational member of the RDA.
