Open Science Expert Panels

Open Science expert panels are the powerhouse of Open Science coordination in Finland. Expert panels gather open science pioneers, experts and supporting staff together. The expert panels identify key challenges and opportunities to advance open science as well as take a leading role in preparing drafts for national open science strategies.

There are four open science expert panels focusing on key areas of open science:

  • Open Access to research publications
  • Open Data
  • Open Education
  • Culture for Open Scholarships.

Anyone is welcome to join an expert panel based on their interests and expertise. The working language of expert panels is Finnish unless otherwise stated. The expert panels meet formally bi-annually during the November and May National Open Science Forum. Most expert panels also meet in October and March for a one day workshop. If you are interested in joining a working group, please email avointiede@tsv.fi
